Although he has experience with off-man coverage, a team that plays press man with safety help over the top would be a good spot for him. But, his lack of quickness and long speed will be big hurdles to overcome. If he were bigger, I’d make a case for him moving to SS as I think his strengths would make him a capable player at that position. With so many young CBs already on the team, Boyd would have a lot of competition to make the roster. It’s possible if he cleaned up his technique issues, he could provide depth at the position that may be better than players like Danny Johnson or Adonis Alexander. After an underwhelming Senior Bowl, the combine will go a long way to determining where he’ll go in the draft.

The guy is an absolute beast of an athlete who is plenty tall enough at 6’1 with great leaping ability. He is a guy that could turn out to be a steal if they can bring the best out of him, but that also means the dreaded word of “potential”. Auburn, Utah, ASU (2017)JoJo McIntosh is a hard hitter, and he uses that hitting ability to knock the ball out of the receiver’s hands and make an impact in the gameHe is strong and is able to fight off blocks. He congests the second level so the ball carrier has fewer places to run. Also, Mcintosh closes in on the tackle after the reception well. He’s able to anticipate a reception and make the tackle before the receiver gets too many yards after the catch. However, JoJo tends to go for the big hit over the sure tackles; this over aggression causes him to miss some tackles, and the same over aggression also causes him to over pursue and run straight past ball carriers. Despite being a big hitter he is an inconsistent tackler. At times he tackles too high, doesn’t wrap, or puts his head down. He missed quite a few tackles because of poor fundamentals. I also do not think he is good enough at coverage to play free safety in the NFL. He is not very agile and he played very few reps in man coverage.How would he fit with the Redskins? JoJo McIntosh can make the team if he shows enough improvement in the offseason, but that is partly because the Redskins are missing depth at safety and nobody is really sure who will start in that positon right now.For that reason alone, JoJo McIntosh has a chance to make the roster. However, I do not think he possesses the coverage ability to play free safety at the NFL. He appears to be more of a special teams player and backup at the position.In my opinion, JoJo McIntosh will be cut during camp or the preseason, though because of the team needs at the position, he seems like a candidate for the practice squad. (AP) — Coach Jay Gruden’s Washington Redskins have established a pattern: When they get a lead, they win; when they trail, they lose.The Redskins (5-3) are the only one of the NFL’s 32 teams that both has managed to avoid a single loss after holding a lead AND also has failed to come back to win a game after trailing.The first is good, of course. The latter could prove to be truly problematic as the season progresses if the offense overseen by Gruden and carried out by quarterback Alex Smith continues to be as ineffective as it’s been.“I don’t think we’re probably even aware” of Washington’s inability to erase a deficit this season, Smith said Wednesday, then added: “Certainly we’ve been in a lot of games that have been back-and-forth.”That last assertion is not accurate. No team below them in either of those two categories has a record above .500.The Bucs, in contrast, rank No. 7 in points at 28.6, and No. 2 in yards at 446.8.It’s the defense that’s been Tampa Bay’s downfall while losing five of its past six games — worst in the league in points, allowing an average of 34.4, and third-worst in passing yardage, at 307.1.An inability to mount a comeback is typically the mark of a bad club.Currently, the only teams other than Washington without an erase-a-deficit victory this season are the Detroit who are both 3-5.Over the previous four complete seasons, the only two teams to go an entire campaign without even one such win were the 2017 Cleveland Browns of 0-16 infamy and the 2017 New York Giants, who were 3-13.During Gruden’s 4½ years in charge of Washington, it owns 15 victories in games in which it trailed, which is just the 27th-best total in the NFL. This week, he’s working out in his hometown area of South Florida with fellow South Floridian, Raiders second-round rookie cornerback Trayvon Mullen.The two are working out at Orange Bowl Field at Carter Park in Fort Lauderdale. While the video shows us Antonio Brown’s terrific burst off the line, it also puts Mullen’s ability to bump at the line of scrimmage and turn his hips. We’ve seen during OTA videos that Brown js a superlative route runner and an explosive athlete, but Mullen is able to stay with him stride for stride and fight for the football.While Brown comes away with the ball in the end, the fact that Mullen, a rookie, doesn’t get completely torched here and blankets an All-Pro receiver in coverage is a highly encouraging sign for this coming season and beyond. It’s obvious that Brown is already a team leader on the Raiders and that even though he has a big mouth, he backs up his words with action and an inexhaustible work ethic. He certainly wore out his welcome in Pittsburgh by feuding with teammates and coaches, but perhaps the change of scenery has lit a new fire under a man who was already the best player at his position in the NFL.
